Games I am currently playing
Call of Duty: Black Ops (posible early spoiler)
So far I am not sure how far I am. I now I have a few hours under my belt already. I first started the game with the “Regular” difficulty level. and stuck trying to escape Cuba. In this part you are trying to escape the compound. Every time I would go to the left (where directed), and the AI characters always seemed to get themselves killed. It annoyed me to no end. I then had to (sadly) lower the difficulty level to “Recruit.” I played it in the it for a little while and found it to be way to easy. I since have re-started with Regular. So far I am finding it much easier. I can’t say that I have not died since going back to Regular, but I have not gotten stuck anywhere in game. I am going to try the “Hardened” level once I have finished the story mode.
I have only spent a couple hours in multi-player. I suck at it :-/ I’ll keep trying.Dragon Age: Origins
I like this game. I first was thinking it was going to be an Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion clone. Fortunately it is not. Not to say that Oblivion was bad. It is brilliant. I am glad to see BioWare was able to make something somewhat unique. The clotest thing I can compare Dragon Age: Origins to would be Mass Effect - space and teck. Just take the group dynamic from Mass Effect and put it in more of a D&D style setting. It took me a while to get into this game.
I am also still playing Assassin’s Creed II and Borderlands. So far I like both game. I just have not played either in a wile. I may end up trading in both.
I also downloaded Death Spank and Beyond Good and Evil. I like both. I have not beep playing much of them either, but intend to soon.

Superhero
One day I was watching the 2nd Fantastic 4 movie. The scene the Human Torch was chasing the Silver Surfer. During the coarse of the chase they are causing what must be hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars of property damage. And it made me wonder. In cities in the DC and Marvel Universes (and I assume other comic book super hero universes) where superheros are prevalent, is there superhero damage insurance. Would that be an extra expense like flood insurance to augment you home/renters insurance?

Future of Video Games?
I am looking at the future of gaming and it makes me wonder. I would not go so far as saying it scares me, but I am apprehensive. I am hearing a lot of talk about Motion controls and 3D an I don’t really care about all that. Call me old school, but I like having a good controller in my hand and relaxing on my couch (sometimes shouting at the TV). What I would like to have seen come out is Virtual Reality (what ever happened to that). That never seemed to be a viable technology. But about 15 years ago it seemed to be all the rage for the future (now present) of gaming. I guess the lack of software developers and limitations of the technology at the time, it did not win over consumers. But like VR; Motion Control and 3D will only be a fad that will die because the peripherals are too expensive. But I am mostly hoping they are that, a fad only intended for the casual gamer. But I will wait an see.
